REVISTA FLAP INTERNACIONAL

A partir de um jornal feito por estudantes adolescentes no início da década de 60, Flap Internacional atravessou cinco décadas de história, transformando-se na mais importante revista de aviação da América Latina. Foi nessa época que os B-52 Stratofortess e outros supersônicos caças-interceptadores começaram a despontar ao lado de imensos aviões comerciais como o Comet, Caravelle e Boeing 707, ocupando o lugar de antigos aviões a hélice. Nesta época o jornal aeronáutico, direcionado principalmente ao público jovem e entusiasta do grande universo da aviação.

O jornal foi lançado oficialmente em outubro de 1962, durante as festividades da Semana da Asa em Congonhas. Seu nome: Flap.

Foram feitas quatro edições do jornal, sendo que na quinta publicação teve-se a idéia de fazer a capa em cores, com um Avro 748 da Força Aérea Brasileira na capa. Surgia assim a revista Flap e pouco tempo depois a Editora Flap, ambas presididas por Carlos André Spagat.

Flap Internacional é sem dúvida, hoje, a mais completa revista sobre aviação da América Latina, vista inclusive como fonte de consulta e pesquisa. É com este propósito que continuaremos trabalhando cada vez mais para aperfeiçoarmos a qualidade já indiscutível de nossa revista.
